Deltech was founded in 1983 by owner Del Sciore. His primary goal and motivation in opening his own business was to "Improve POWER, DRIVABILITY, and RELIABILITY" on any motorized vehicle that he worked on. His mission started in 1973, at the age of 12, when a neighbor handed him his first wrench and told him to fix his 1959 Ford. Del obliged and found he was hooked! Shortly thereafter; now at the age of 14, Del purchased his first car, a 1963 Ford Thunderbird, from another neighbor. After discovering that the car needed an engine, Del had his first REAL project on his hands. He started taking the car apart and in the process of handling the engine job he met a man named Ken Gilmour, of Gilmour Enterprises, a local engine machine shop in Calgary. Del later named Ken his "Rodfather" as this man is the one who introduced Del into the world of racing, and since then it has been his addiction. Del, his friends, and Deltech Automotive have continued to repair, modify, and build cars, trucks, and hot rods with Del's "mission" driving the way!
